All of our boots are built on a last specific to the heel height ordered and then built up to fit your individual foot. All boots are 3/4 welted. The welts and the arch are sewn to a heavy leather insole by hand. The shanks are forged from 60 penny nails and covered with a piece of heavy leather, giving you an "oxbow" riding shank. Next comes a heavy leather outsole that is sewn to the welts and a double row of wood pegs through the shank area. Last come the stacked leather heels put together with wood pegs in each layer.      Work boot. One line of top stitching, oil tanned leather in black or brown           $500.00     Basic dress boot.
